This piece has become my husband’s favourite painting I have ever produced - a high accolade! I wanted to inject a lot of energy and movement into the piece through the use of different mediums and textures. This, combined with the softer colour palette, I think, produces a really interesting dynamic to captivate the viewer. I really like my paintings to communicate the craftsmanship and sense that they have been made by a real human as I think that is increasingly precious in the current day and age and rise of AI-generated art. I also think the use of ink, the drips and the texture, along with the hues of peach, blue and brown create a really organic feel to the work - reminiscent of a coral reef, or a woodland.
